Este es el prólogo del relato «The Legend of Scarlet Scar«. Entrada nº1

Una frase que, a primera vista, parece que invita a la reflexión, pero que una vez piensas en ella, te das cuenta que simplemente te convida, amablemente, a que te replantees seriamente si debes continuar la carrera.

Piénsalo. Te apuntas a la maravillosa carrera de Comunicación Audiovisual. Piensas que aquí aprenderás «cosas» útiles que te ayudarán a formarte como un profesional. Como un futuro/a guionista, director/a de cine…

Perdón, por el chiste.

Bueno… Pues nada más lejos de la realidad. Si lo que quieres es ser un experto en el espectro radioeléctrico, estás de suerte… De forma incansable, te explicarán este maravilloso concepto en múltiples asignaturas que tendrán un nombre llamativo y diferente, pero que, al final y al cabo todas vienen a contarte lo mismo. La excusa que te cuentan para meterte esto en el temario (con ayuda de un calzador), es que de esta forma nosotros, «los futuros comunicadores audiovisuales» podremos hacer competencia a los que hayan estudiado telecomunicaciones…

Plató de la Facultad de Comunicación. ¿Te gusta lo que ves? Pues tómate tu tiempo y disfruta de la foto, porque en persona lo vas a ver contadas veces.

Cómo veis el sentido del humor es algo que se pretende mantener, aunque sea un chiste de mal gusto. En serio alguien que se haya metido en esta carrera, ¿está seriamente pensando en hacerle competencia a uno que haya estudiado telecomunicaciones? Porque si es así, tiene un grave problema.


Me ha venido un dèjá vu…

Seguramente dirán: bueno es que no pretendemos que un comunicador audiovisual adquiera los mismos conocimientos sobre la materia que uno de «telecos»… Es para que puedas entender el paradigma actual y así saber como actuar… Ya sabemos que no podréis hacer frente a un ingeniero, pero…

Bueno, os he de confesar que he visto excusas mejores. En ciertas ocasiones me ha pasado que mi sobrino ha venido de visita a mi casa cuando yo no estaba. Sin mi permiso, cogía mi consola y se ponía a jugar. Bueno, pues mi sobrino de 11 años era capaz de inventarse mejores excusas para hacerme creer que no había utilizado la consola. De hecho, es tal su capacidad de invención que hizo creer a más de 100 personas que Atlantis podía ser encontrada si estudiabas como funcionaban las ondas radioeléctricas y cómo fue el paso de la TV analógica a la TDT.

Los platós… ese lugar sin descubrir. Se ha comentado que la próxima película de Indiana Jones tomará lugar en ellos.

A ver, ahora en serio, nadie se ha parado a pensar que, TAL VEZ, explicar temas como este una y otra vez, ¿no sean de tanto interés? Una vez, para hacer la gracia pues esta bien. Nos hemos reído todos, muy buen chiste…

De hecho, fíjate, si lo contara Eva Hache en el Club de la Comedia no saltaría su intervención, me la vería como un campeón. Pero, claro… cuando te lo explican 5 veces, pues no sé… el chiste se resiente… Y más cuando en toda la carrera has tocado el plató contadas veces.

Vaya, por Dios… ¿Que querías hacer cortometrajes, escribir guiones, grabar en plató…? Bueno pues haber ahorrado más y te hubieras ido a la ESCAC, aquí estamos para aprender a como una onda radioeléctrica puede ser tu amiga en los momentos más duros.

Pues no contentos con ello, va y el señor Albert Chillón dice que deberíamos darle más al coco y tocar menos el plató. Bueno, tal vez, si me hubiese metido a estudiar antropología pues puede que esa recomendación me llamara más la atención. No sé, puede que no sea la divina papaya y me esté confundiendo de carrera. Vete tú a saber, a lo mejor me he metido en la facultad de eutanasia asistida y no me he dado cuenta. Pero bueno, eso ya es problema mío.

Así que ya sabéis niños, ni se os ocurra tocar una cámara más de dos segundos es malo para el desarrollo de vuestro pensamiento crítico. Lo de escribir guiones y demás dejadlo para cuando acabéis la carrera. De hecho, mi vecino del quinto me ha pedido que si le puedo enseñar alguna obra decente grabada en el contexto universitario (¡Qué atrevido!). Obviamente, y como os habéis podido imaginar, le he mandado a freír espárragos y de paso le he contado la interesante vida de Herbert Marcuse.
